Today is:

This calendar can be used to display the day of the week for any date
from 1900 to 2100.

If the Calendar does not display, or does not work:

If you receive an error message and the calendar does not display, it is possible that your browser is not enabled for "ActiveX" controls.

To enable ActiveX capability in Internet Explorer 4.01 and later, click on <Tools>, then <Internet Options>,   A new window will open, with a number of tabs across the top.

  • Click on the <Security> tab, and then on the <Custom Level> button.  This will open a new window for Security Settings.

  • The first group of settings is related to ActiveX Controls and Plug-Ins.  Look for any items which are "disabled".

  • Change the setting to <Prompt> for each of them IN THIS SECTION ONLY which are marked "disabled".

    • A key item which cannot be disabled is the one labeled "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins".

    • [Items set to <Prompt> will bring up a dialog window, giving you the option to choose when run a script, rather than allowing the program to run it automatically.]  Some manufacturers set this type of scripting off to prevent unauthorized programs from running.  By switching to the "prompt" mode, you are given the choice to make the decision, based on whether you trust the web page you are currently viewing.  If you choose to change the settings to "enable", the scripts will run automatically without asking you for permission.

  • Once you have made the changes, click on <OK> to exit the Security Settings window, and then on <OK> to exit the Internet Options window.

  • You may be prompted that the settings have changed for your browser and that the web page may appear differently.

  • You may need to click the <Refresh> button to enable the scripts to run.

  • For browsers other than Internet Explorer (such as Netscape), try searching your HELP files for "ActiveX" or "Scripts" or "Scripting" for information on how to enable this type of process.
