Phonepower®
strongly supports urgent- message relay to Alphanumeric Pagers
and the "Text Messaging" feature of digital wireless phones for
people "on the go". Your ability to respond immediately
to urgent messages could mean improved sales response and
emergency-message time.
Messages are taken one of two ways:

By a live operator, and immediately sent to a pager
or digital wireless phone that displays your messages right
on the screen.

By an automated system, which then transfers the call to
an operator who transcribes the information to the paging
system.
This service is offered both as a stand-alone service, and as
a value-added option for
Telephone Answering Service and
Virtual Office
Services.

- For "information-only" messages (where you do not need to
speak with the caller), you save time and expense, eliminating
the need to call back.

to [1] dial an Alpha Pager (or the Text Messaging feature of
our wireless phone) to alert you that a message is waiting,
or [2] for the time to relay a verbal message from a
Telephone Secretary. (By eliminating these two steps, you save
time and charges for about one minute or more per
message taken! That could cut your billable time by as much as
50% or more!)
- Pay phones (when you can find one) are scarce. (100
messages per month would cost you $25 monthly just to get the
message, more if beyond the local calling area.)
- If you currently use a Cellular Phone to get your messages
verbally, you can dramatically cut cellular usage (savings of
$30-50 per month based on 100 calls per month).
Capabilities
- Alpha Pagers and digital wireless phones receive and
display your entire message -- up to 200 characters in length
-- within minutes after the message is taken.
- Most Alpha Pagers and digital wireless phones
automatically store up to the last 20 messages you received,
including the date and time you received them. Many models can
store dozens or even hundreds of messages in a
personal storage memory area.
- An Alpha pager (AND digital wireless phones)
doubles as a digital pager when that format will
suffice. This offers the best of BOTH types of paging in one
convenient unit.
- The monthly charge for service is only a few dollars more
than digital display service from most paging service
providers. With digital wireless phones, the Text Messaging
feature is either included, or can be added for a small
monthly surcharge. This small charge is more than offset
by the collateral cost
savings.
Service Area
Text Message Dispatch is available to subscribers for
English-Language callers, for Pagers and wireless phones located
in the United States and Canada. Please note that there
may be a small dispatch surcharge if your paging or wireless
service does not offer a toll-free access number to connect with
their system.
